Like any other Chinese Immigrant in the 19th century, Li Wai was also discriminated and had to suffer through a lot of trouble when he first got to America and from then on. Li Wai who didn't know much about how America really was has heard many great things about the U.S. like many other immigrants did. But after Li Wai had come to America, he will find out actually how TEXTgreat it really was. Li Wai's brave and couragous stand he would soon make after he immigrates to America would affect the entire world.

Happiness to unexpectedness
Lee was a farmer from China, his part of the town was flooded and suddenly he became unemployed. So he decided to go to America to earn a living. He met many people on his way and felt proud that he could go to America.
He thought it was the land of hope and dreams...but come across discrimination and even his life and he didn't even know it.

Gum San - The Land of Opportunity and Evil Demons
Yueng Wai Wa was one of the Continental Railroad workers. Also among those who were discriminated because of their skin color. The land of opportunity turned into the land of hatred for the Chinese. The "White Demons" wanted to get rid of the Chinese and keep them out of the US. Wai Wa tried to make friends with them but instead turned out to become enemies.

oh yea, my title is "Li Wai the Couragous Patriot" oh yea, and linda and katy... dun u get it? My main character is Li wai!!! u guys are not fair. I made the name first. Linda copied my first name "li" and katy took my last name "wai". o man, that name was soo creative!!!!

Title: Is it simply because I'm a female?
It was 1882, when a terrible flood in China forced Xiao Lin, an 22 year old chinese woman, and other Chinese men to immigrate to America. Arriving at Angle Island to Xiao Lin meant a postive sign and a dream but she doesn't know the challenge and discrimination she would have to face just to pass the guards. Xiao Lin thought that America would be a land of dreams for her but all she have seen so far are sexism and raciam. Finding a job and a husband was a dream for her but she doesn't know what the future holds for her and her husband.

A lovely day in China when all of a sudden the government and crops crumbled from floods and gangs. The Chen family couldn’t earn money no more. So Wong the father and Fung the older brother heard of gold at the land known as America they rushed off. They promised to make money. Then one day Chou heard his father was injured during an accident. Can Chou rush to America to see his father one last time.

A NEW WORLD
Her home destroyed, her Child murdered, her crops flooded. clearly, Xaiaou Fat and her husband Chow Yun Fat have nothing good in their life left in China. So the one thing that keeps on popping up in Xaiaou's mind is how good a life her brother Law is having in America. So she and her husband decide to go to America. All she thought about was making money and going back to China. She did not think about any consicuince's.
Her life changed as soon as work started. What happened next.... A NIGHTMARE

Voyage to "Gum San" and the "Iron Dragon"
Lum, Sui Loong, a 24 year old by had lived in a dilapidated house ever since he was little. Hearing the rumors about gold in America, he set off on that voyage. In the ship, he was seeing bad conditions everwhere. Puking was done every 5 seconds, arguments arose in every corner, and the dead was thrown aboard.
When they reached America, he was checked and examined. When tat was done, he saw ANOTHER ship waiting for him and arrivals. It took them to a place where jobs required men. He had to work for the railroad, and that was when he saw the Iron dragon................
